Roger Pinon's journey in the world of running is quite impressive! From his early days at Quigley Prep, where he showcased his talent by breaking school records in both cross country and track, to his successful collegiate career at the University of Illinois at Chicago, he has consistently demonstrated his dedication and passion for the sport. His achievements extend beyond the track, with victories in renowned races like the Hot Chocolate 5k, The Turkey Trot, and Dia de los Muertos 5k. The highlight of Roger's career so far came in 2022 when he made his marathon debut, catching the attention of NBC news. His aspiration to qualify for the Olympic Trials marathon reflects his ambitious spirit and determination to push his limits further. With over two decades of experience as an elite runner, coupled with his relentless pursuit of excellence, Roger Pinon undoubtedly stands as a role model for aspiring athletes in the running community.
Coach Jeff Rastatter is a Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgeon at the Lurie Children’s and Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is the Director of Medical Student Education for the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Jeff has two children on club and asked if he could join some of the runs. He worked himself into shape and has integrated himself as a pivotal piece to our coaching staff. He is very personable with the runners and offers valuable coaching tips.
Coach Tess Pinon, maiden name Tess Ehrhardt began running at her local high school, Geneva where she was part of a team of five freshman girls who won the 3A IHSA State championship. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where she went on the break 12 school records ranging from the 1k-10k. She gives back to the running community by finding time to coach the Chicago Rabbits during track season.
